... it's been a while since ANY of us have posted here or what!? hehe

Well as much as I hated the idea of working in a spa or for a corporate business, I may end up starting my career in that environment after all. Pam took us to "Serenity By The Sea" and I have to say as structured and Nazi like they are it seems like a pretty kickass work place. Helps that you work hourly instead of get paid by the job, so if someone doesn't show up, you still get paid, granted it's it's 30$/hr with client vs 18$/hr without, but thats still 18$/hr for doing nothing, or maybe folding towels/getting ready for the next appointment. Also while you work there, there it's free food (not just cafeteria sandwiches either, actual hotel style meals), and everything, including your supplies are covered by the Hilton. All I have to bring of my own are shoes, socks and underwear, and uniform of course but that's provided. Heck they even wash your uniform for you! The one thing that caught my attention rather quickly was that all Hilton employees of the get room discounts of 60$/night, all over the US, so needless to say my first thought was: DRAGONCON!!! This is a really tempting offer, considering they r hiring and really need someone to work Sunday and Monday shifts, it's all indoor work and there is almost no evil/blinding sunlight I have to deal with (which tires me faster and lowers my work performance), it's only a 10 more min drive from the school, so it'll take me less than 40 mins to get there from the house. So, I'm gonna go ahead and apply there and see what happens. My goal was to work with a chiropractor and my ultimate goal was to work with THE chiropractor, Dr. Payne. Unfortunately Dr. Payne already has two male therapists and they are looking for a female to balance I out since a lot of people request females. But maybe one day something will open up with him, meanwhile I'm going to give a shot to places which are hiring right now. Really hoping this works out very soon, and all the paperwork crap with the NBMT (national board of massage therapy) goes by smooth and by the numbers without any delays or unexpected glitches.

... through no effort of my own of course!
even though i should've been doing this years ago, the excuse of "oh i don't have a camera" has been crippling me for a while .... and i really need to get off my ass and get filming!

anyway, wade shot all this while he was here ... one day i noticed him mess around with things and take pictures here and there but i didn't realize what he really had in mind!

check out the video and please leave encouraging comments so i can use him as a camera operator/cinematographer/sound engineer so i don't have to do it myself or pay someone to do it :D

A South Philadelphia man enraged because a father and son were talking during a Christmas showing of The Curious Case of Benjamin Button took care of the situation when he pulled a .380-caliber gun and shot the father, police said.
James Joseph Cialella Jr., 29, of the 1900 block of Hollywood Street is charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault, and weapons violations.

"It's truly frightening when you see something like this evolve into such violence," said police spokesman Lt. Frank Vanore.

Police were called to the Riverview Theatre in the 1400 block of Columbus Boulevard about 9:30 p.m. where the gunshot victim, a Philadelphia man who was not identified, told police a man sitting near him told his family to be quiet and threw popcorn at his son.

After exchanging words, Vanore said Cialella allegedly got out of his seat to confront the family when the father got up to protect them. That's when the victim was shot once in the left arm, sending others in the theatre running to safety.

Cialella then sat down to watch the movie. Police arrived a short time later and arrested Cialella and confiscated his weapon, Vanore said.

Man that must either be a really good  movie or really bad, either way that guy was pissed enough to shoot someone, hehe.
Bet you that entire family will NEVER talk during a movie, ever again!
Lesson learned, hehe.

Dear Santa...

Dear Santa,

This year I've been busy!

Last week I ruled Iran as a cruel and heartless dictator (-700 points). In March on a flight to Bangladesh, I stole the emergency flight information card (-40 points). In August I donated bone marrow to ooolala_lauren in a life-saving procedure (300 points). In June I ate my brussel sprouts (1 points). In July I put gum in reddheaded's hair (-12 points).

Overall, I've been naughty (-451 points). For Christmas I deserve a spanking!

vhs is dead, and no one cares!
FINALLY that crappy ass format is dead!

i don't know how we managed to keep that shitty format around for THAT long
i mean dvd has been out barely for 10 years and we're already going to blue ray, and now they're discussing the next format that should be out within the next 3-5 years!

i don't care as long as the format is digital ... i like dvd, it's not perfect but it's cheap and it's digital, perfect copies, great freaking sound!

i also have a person issue with VHS, it always messed up for me at the wrong times!
the VCR would eat the tape, the tape would melt or break, or i'd leave it in the VCR and someone would hit "record" and accidentally record cooking shows on my copy of "empire strikes back" (yea i know you could break the tab on the side and all that, but the few times i forgot to do it, i got screwed)

anyway, glad to say goodbye to VHS
